need input for gas tank problems.
Has anyone ever had a problem where no matter how slowly or no matter what gas station you go to, the gas pump shuts off but you gas gauge only reads 3/4 (sometimes lower) every time you try to fill up your tank? And if you try to keep filling after it shuts off gas starts coming out like it really is full?
Thanks in advance,

If it comes out when it's really not full of fuel, then only thing I can think of is the tank has a air pocket in it.
Not really sure how you would fix that besides maybe drilling a TINY hole at the top of the tank for the air to be pushed out when really being filled.
BUT be careful, if you use a power tool to cut or drill, sometimes the shaving can be too hot (especially if a saw) and can potentially catch the gasoline on fire.
After that you will need to plug the hole with appropriate sealant or weld metal back over it. I think some, if not all, gas tanks become pressurized so it does need to be properly resealed to keep from spraying out and leaking fumes.
Heh, probably not worth the hassle to try and fix though.
Again, I am just guessing at this, but seem that this is what it would be if gas is spraying/coming out when it's not even close to full.
