1990 honda lurching to the right when accelerating
My 1990 Honda Accord front end lurches to the right when I hit the accelerator and the engine tilts backward. I have replaced the front motor mount (dog bone). I'm sure another mount is bad but not sure which one. Any ideas?
Just as a note, these cars have a natural pull to the right considering the passenger side axle is the shortest but it should be minimal.
Is this car and automatic and does it shake at idle?

The car is an automatic and it does shake some at idle. The pull to the right is much more pronounced than in the past. it's a little dangerous on the highway. I thought replacing the front mount would resolve the problem but it has not.
These cars have a strut rod that attaches to the lower control arm and goes forward to the radiator support. Many times a leak can deteriorate the rubber on the front mount at the radiator support allowing the whole wheel to move forward 1/2" or more durring acceleration and back again when braking. This will most definittely cause a thrust angle that will steer the car for you. They will also just slip out of allignment if you pound a pothole or curb.
The motor mounts have little to no effect on steering and thrust angles that can make your car pull, only keeps your motor from knocking around.
