Rear lower control arm outer bushing NEEDED!
I have been to all parts stores and googled and googled. Can I get just the bushing on the inner or out of the lower rear control arm. I have no need for complete control arms if not necessary.
I know I can find aftermarket bushing kits made of poly and so on but I am looking for an oem bushing and all the parts stores show the strut to arm bushing which looks different.
Parts geek.com- They'll send you an oem piece. OR go to dealer and get oem bushing minus upcharge/shipping/gas to get there.
P/s- all you need to press it in is a good vise and two big sockets. Its harder to get out than in.

Easy to install got mines from autozone and use a ball joint c clamp type press to push it in. Only cost me $35 but autozone does rent them but don't know how much.

the bushing i always end up replacing is the one that the rear strut actually uses...usually the inner and outer are ok, its that damn center bushing that always adheres to the strut bolt and when you try to remove the bolt, the head snaps off. :/
I thought all 96-00 LCA bushings were the same?
EG/DC were the odd ball with the 84mm bolt going through the bottom of the strut and 80mm bolts elsewhere.

Get some of the brush on type anti-seize and apply it liberally next time.
Did u not read through the thread i posted to help you in your own thread? Burn out the rubber bushing. Cut a slit in the sleeve. Hammer out the the rest. If rubber material still intact then press it out with pressing tool. Go to YouTube, search and watch some vid. Get familiar with the process.
Yes, the rubber is "mated" to the sleeves. Take it to a a shop with a press and have them press out/press in or burn the rubber out, cut a slit in the sleeve and tap it out with a hammer and flathead and take to a shop with a press and press the new bushing in. No way around it unless you can find a split bushing, but I have never seen one for this application.
Drill it out. Which one broke off? The one attach to the subframe or the brake?
****, u should drive with it broken anyway. One way or another, you have to drill out the broken bolt. Buy new bolt, grade 8 or higher, and replaced them.

Didnt we tell you that already? You dont need a machine to press it in. It is the same size because it need to be a tight fit, so it doesnt wobble around causing damage.
at this point, i recommend you stop working on it and have it tow to your machenic. Someone who knows what they are doing.
