Won't go into gear.

so this my current problem, my car wont go into gear when the car is started. now if I put in gear while its off I can run through every gear no problem. if I leave it in gear, start it, it'll move while its cranking. I've adjusted the clutch many times, and nothing.
this is what led to that (this happened within an hour and half timespan). I was cruising on the road, gassed it to around 8k went to put it in second and nothing. when it reved down to like 5k it went into gear. I eventually lost my clutch pedal. I powershifted to the nearest stop. adjusted my clutch got some pedal back, I didn't really adjust it too much at the time it was really late on the streets. got it driving and shifting but if I hit too high of an rpm it wouldn't go into gear nor grind. but once again it still shifted into gear at a low rpm. I parked it woke up the next morning to go to work figuring ill mess with it there, drove down the street and the clutch hit the floor. i tried adjusting it but it wasn't going into gear so i had to start the car in gear and drive it back. HELP PLEASE! if its my pressure plate and or clutch ill do it asap its just i don't wanna spend money on **** i don't need.

Release the cable clutch adjustment until you have slight to no tension, get in the car and try to crank it while its in gear. Make your adjustment in very little increments. There is a misconception that the more tension you get, the more adjustment you have, which is not true. Continue adjusting until your car finally starts without moving. Your clutch cable should be near its best adjustment at this point. hope it helps.

I had a friend who had an ef that would go into gear due to his shift linkage being bad from taking a corner to fast... Don't ask me why... But check your linkage and see if its good?
