Default Function and Form Type 1 coil-overs!?!?!?

I am considering purchasing these to lower my 1996 Honda Civic CX hatchback, I want to lower my ride's height. Will these get the job done and how good are they? Will I still need to purchase aftermarket struts/stocks etc?

they completely replace the stock struts and springs

they can go pretty low, how low are you looking to go?

and many people like then and others dont, its pretty mixed

i would say do some research in the suspension area of h-t, or google then decide if you still want them because there are many reviews of these coil overs

sweet, a 2 inch drop, the gap between the fenders and tires is ugly so a 2 inch drop should satisfy me.

if you want lower only 2" id say get some struts like koni yellows, and some good lowering springs

the only real difference between them and the koni/lowering spring combo, would be that the F&F's are height adjustable

yes they will get the job done, you can ride on your side skirt with these suspension and no this is a full struts already but i would recommended some adjustable camber kit to correct the negative chamber your going to get from the drop. but it really depend on you though because if you just want 2 inch and no more then yeah i suggest getting some koni as the posting above said you'll save alot more money to achieve your goal but if you want room for more or going to go for the flush to hellaflush later on then f&f is the way to go.

I've had them on my car for a while now. They're too harsh for DD, but too soft for aggressive driving. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, for anything, and plan on replacing them as soon as it's fiscally responsible. You can get just as low with koni/GC+sleeves, have a better warranty, and because GC spring rates are customizable, you can either have them soft enough for DD, or have them stiff enough for proper track use.

Get something better.

he didn't get the answers he was looking with the other thread.
OP seriously, why ask about function and form when you've already stated you can't afford them?

Those are junk, Koni/GC. Don't start two threads on the same subject.

Budget is $400. Get Racelands. They are mediocre but so is your budget.

A lot of people hate raceland but for the price they are pretty good. I have had mine for two years no problem.

Ive had mine on my coupe for about 2 years now. I havent had any problems with them but I have to agree with this guy. They are too stiff for a dd and too soft for tracking. If Your only concern is dropping it then yes they will get the job done but there are better options out there for the same price as far as ride quality.

It is my daily, I just want to lower it but have it not be bouncy and such. Any other brands of coil overs you recommend?
