AC thermostatic switch on '96 Lude
According to 2 different techs I need to replace the AC thermostatic switch on my '96 Prelude for it to take a charge and give me cold air. The part number I need is 80430-SS0-A01 which I've discovered has been discontinued. I've had no luck finding a part online or in a junk yard. Is there anyone that makes an aftermarket part or is the old part repairable? And also, does it actually take a couple of hours to replace the part and charge the AC? I've been quoted $250 dollars for the work. Do you have instructions on how it is done? I've had techs try to cheat me on things so I'm really cautious when having work done.
