Basically you would buy that piece of the shell and if you take it to a body shop they cut out the bad spots on your car and replace it with the undamaged section. It would get cut with a gas torch or a plasma cutter then the new section would be welded into place.

If the work is done right you will never know anything was done at all.

Are you really still going on about those rocker panels ? take it over to a good body shop or sell it.

If you got rust and it is a small area then a body shop can typically fix it without to much of a problem. But if it is rusted thru and needs a bunch of work then it will be more labor instensive to remove the damaged section and replace with a clean section.

You could go to a salvage yard and buy the section that you need and have that installed.

A picture would be helpful.

Well the good news, it could be fixed! But for something like that I would strip the car down to the shell and start cutting out all the rust damage and weld in new steel. The downside to that is it might be cheaper to get a clean shell and work from that. Or get as much of a shell as you can and swap bottoms.
