p73-003 Diagnostic codes. in a 2000 gs
I have a 2000 integra gs with a complete jdm itr swap. does anyone know how to check my diagnostic codes, and have a list of what they might be? I am using a p73-003 ecu. I recently lost my original ignition keys and had to have new ones made. I had one of them coded to work with the old ecu and the other is a normal key with no transponder chip. sometimes when i start the car I get a check engine light. I'm just not sure how to check it. I did not have this problem before I lost the keys. Thanks for any help you can give me.
You need a code reader. Your local auto parts store normally has one and will check the code for you at no cost.
I just went ahead and bought one for $50 from my parts store.

Thanks. Ill give that a try. I wasnt sure if that would work because i had heard that the p73-003 was not a true obd2 ecu. Also i realized last night that my gas cap was loose. If thats all it was i will find out on my way to the auto parts store tonight.
if this is a jdm type r ecu a code reader wont work, it wont communicate with the ecu. U will need to jump the 2 pin plug thats near the ecu to check what the error code is like you would check on an obd 1 car.
Well that leads me back to my original question. Where can i find a list of jdm p73-003 diagnostic codes? And being that my car is a 2000 usdm GS model, will it even have the 2 pin plug near the ecu? If not, which pins could i jumper at the ecu.
Ok. Well I have an itr and I cant find the diagnostic jumper in the car. Which pins can I jump at the p73-003 ecu to check the diagnostic codes?
