Default Can't shift and clutch goes to the floor

Sorry if has been asked before, but didn't find anything when I searched. On my 5-sp, 4 cyl 2000 Accord LX with 180K, the stick will not move and when I depress the clutch, it goes to the floor with no resistance at all. The fluid reservoir was empty (one other time I could not shift and added fluid and all was fine again) so I filled it, but that didn't help this time. I didn't see any fluid on the ground. Any advice as to what I might try?
Thanks -- Dennis

you obviously had a leak, is there brake fluid around the clutch master on the inside of the car?

Check the master cyl. for leaks as well, in the pedal area. Usually it will leak into the cabin, making a dark oily stain on the carpet below the pedals. You may not see it unless you lift the floor mat. The clutch hydraulic system is very simple -- not many places for a leak to develop and you've got one.

Thanks, guys. There was no fluid in the car or around the master cylinder, but I followed the line to find the slave cylinder and found it and the area moist. Below it was a trail of fluid. I'm gathering that there are not that many possibilities for a leak -- master cyl, slave cyl or a broken line, right? The slave cyl looks pretty simple to replace. Even easy to get to. Can it be that easy?

It is that easy. There are two bolts holding it to the transmission, and a the fitting for the clutch hard line, which is not difficult to remove.

Yeah bleeding is the frustrating part. I always feel like I'm doing it wrong (probably am, lol)

That'd be your slave cylinder lol. Happened to me on Black Friday last year haha... It's not hard to change at all.. and bleeding it shouldn't be too much of a challenge.
