Default Toda, Jun, HondaSaver.....

I know this has been beating many many times..

Lately i have been hearing nothing but bad things about toda...
Im looking into either toda Bs or Jun 3s or maybe the new hondasavers....

Pros:
Jun = Peak horsepower is more then Toda, when warm sound almost stock
Toda = smoother vtec engaugement point.. more mid range
hondasaver = said to have more peak then jun

Cons:
Jun = Known to snap
Toda = Known to kill timing belts, to eat rocker arms.... dont idle as well as jun, lobey idle
Hondasaver = brand new, havent fixed the bugs yet.

-Jordo
anyone?

.....go turbo.

Otherwise, those anti-toda myths are bs (imh experience).

If you want a safety net, just drop your car off for a full rebuild on spec D's with sakai. You'll thank me later.

Why are you doing all motor if you want turbo?

If you want turbo, do turbo.

Wouldn't that make more sense?

yeah, you'll spend more on n/a to get the same power a turbo has at low boost. plus you want turbo so you'll enjoy it more

im fine with allmotor

My reasons for allmotor:
I am a jdm junkie....
I want jdm front, oem cleaness

I enjoy shows, and Road racing/autox... thats why i choose allmotor

Turbos cost alot... I know allmotor does to, but.. i dont know how to explain it..
my friend spent 2800 for his drag kit, put down 210whp untuned(dynoed 170 stock w/ aem cai) at 4psi. how much would it cost to get 210whp n/a?

I bet that 210whp allmotor would smoke that turboed 210whp..

Honestly if i want just speed, i would be smart and buy no2, and get bolt ons..

I have a group of friends, they all run 11s, 12s on no2....

yeah but 210-220whp is almost maxed out for a n/a ITR(sgt is the exception ). 210whp for a turbo R is probably the minimum, since it was done at such low boost. for that kit atleast

Full Race EQ manifold
Hks SS bov
Tial 35mm hp
GE sleeved to 84.5mm block
10.1 Compression pistons

Turbo is the way to go, however the "toda-myth" is not bs. You might not have any first had experience, but a local guy i know shredded 10 teeth on his belt when he was running the Toda B's. And yes, ive read about the Jun's breaking in half as well, remember when you upgrade your motor its not stock anymore so dont expect it to run stock. As far as running the AEM standalone, make sure you have a tuner that knows this system down to a science. Tuning this system is an easy 6 to 8 hours on the dyno IF the base program allows the car to start up.

if you want it soo bad, i can guarantee you that you wont enjoy the n/a for long. i've driven both, an R w/ a full JUN head package, and a turbo R w/ the drag kit. the turbo R pulled so much harder, even at low rpm and low boost it felt stronger than the JUN 3 R below vtec.

Neither of those things have anything to do with a turbo vs N/A setup.

I enjoy shows, and Road racing/autox... thats why i choose allmotor
Turbos get more show points than all motor setups. After all you can't SEE all motor setups, so how can you show them off?

I bet that 210whp allmotor would smoke that turboed 210whp..
I bet that the turbo car would destroy the all motor car if they both could get traction.

You already want turbo, according to you.

If you can't afford it now, save up.
