Default Evo8 wheels with 225/60-17

I have stock suspension with Enkei evo8 17s on it. It currently has 225/45-17a and I want more sidewall. Will 225/60s fit without rubbing? I'm second guessing myself because I know it'll be close..

^good question...no experiance here but I'm going to guess you might get away (or be okay) with it especially stock suspension...because I'll be running 225/55 soon and that will work fine so 60 should work. (im stock and upgrading soon to 17x8) cuz I see some people with 225/50 & 55 with no problems on stock so yeah 60 should be ok on stock as well...it's 65 that might be a problem? and will def. be a problem if you are lowered! LOL

But since your not lowered you will be fine with 60...just don't take my words only for it tho till someone else 2nd, 3rd me on it LOL...post some pics of the ride I wanna see it on the evo8 rims...been debating on picking up a set of evo8 locally as spare rims...

If you have the tires, put them up beside the ones you have one right now, and see how much taller they are over the ones you have now. You will be able to see for the most part if they will rub. You mite rub some when you turn and hit a bump at the very bottom of the fenders and bumpers, since you are going adding 15% more sidewall height.

^damn they're pretty skinny LOL otherwise not too bad I guess But yeah I think like Sticker_BomB says you'll clear...but the 225 might hit unless you go with 215 then you shouldnt have a problem either way post updates

I got the 225/60s installed, they are super close, only rubbed once so far, hitting a bump turnin into a driveway. They are real nice tho, Michelin defenders, really nice ride, especially compared to those rubber bands I had before. I'll post pics later

Now you just need to lift it so it looks better and will clear for sure with out hitting.

You should, that's kinda the point of putting bigger tires to get more ground height. They sell kits for not to much I saw.

Just does not look good with that big of tire on it when still at stock height.

Looks like you gonna rub when you hit a bump or potholes, when you get tired of that then you're gonna wanna do it

Yeah I was fine until I loaded it up with 4 friends and a bunch of supplies in the back...nonetheless we had to turn around and swap cars. So, I ordered the ironman springs, I don't really want the full 2" lift tho, I just want to clear. Is there any adjustments I can do to get maybe 1.5" lift?
