I was a bit suprised to see some bubbles starting around the edge of my rear wheel well. I live in Canada so I have the joy of having to deal with winter, but I was still surprised to see this happen already. I have to get into the body shop for repair before it spreads fast.

Any other winter driven Civics showing any signs of rust?

I did just see buddys post with the 12, or 13 Civic where he saw what he thought was rust stains around his doors.

 

This sound more like real rust, the other post I am sure was not. I have an 05 and have some little surface rust spots (in fact quite a few) but nothing from the inside out. Wheel wells are the first place rust usually starts. you may have gotten a stone or cinder chip that started the process. I've seen Mazdas with serious issues in two years.

 

I have seen a couple neglected 06+ with rust around the bottom of the rear wheel wells. None (yet) with the famous Honda upper wheel well rot.

my 06 is clear of rust and is the winter beater... my 08 Si is immaculate as she is never driven in the winter.
