Differences between p13 and pr4 ecu... Dang pesky CEL
Hello to all and thanks for any input.
I recently picked up a 90 crx with an LS swap. Tranny was converter during from auto to manual in the process. Overall, things work pretty well together. Car runs and drives pretty strong.
My issue is the cel (code 12 from my PR4 ecu), it's looking for an egr response that isn't there.
I've referenced this post regarding a relay and 2.2kohms rheostat (resistor). Only issue is that the post references the p13 ecu and i have a pr4 in my crx.

Re: obd1 egr removal with p13. (Qveon)
Ok here. You have 3 wires to concern yourself with.
On the D-block of ECU connector. You will see:
Red/Wht (5v+ for sensors)
Wht/Blk (EGR sensor position)
On the A-block:
Red (EGR soleniod)
Ok so take your relay and coil positive goes to the Red on the A-Block. Coil neg goes to ground. No since you wont have an EGR, its ok if the ECU sees no voltage for when it is not in use. Take the pole side of the relay and tie it to Wht/Blk. and take the actuated side of the relay and tie it to the rheostat (or 2200 ohms worth of resistors), then tie the other end to the Red/Wht wire. Thats all.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I've already assembled the relay, rheostat and wiring to fake out the ecu. My only question in the wiring to the ecu. I need to confirm the pinouts are the same, or what pins I need to use. Basically, what is the difference between the Pr4 (mine) and P13 (referenced in the post).
Thanks to all for help.
