95 Honda accord CEL error codes 20 & 43
Was just cruising down the highway yesterday at a steady 70 MPH when my my check engine light came on, I didn't pay any mind to it because there was no.real change in howe the car behaved. Got home and cleared the codes to.see if they popped up again. Drove around for a bit in town, and nothing came up. So I thought nothing of it. Then on my way to work the next.day same thing just cruising down the high way and the cel came on again, once again not a real change in how the car behaved. But its worrying me that I have a real problem. The same codes came up. A 20: electric load surge, and a 43: fuerl system problem. And the cel only comes on at highway speed. Any knowledge on what causes this problem would be greatly appreciated.
For the code 20, this is normally the fuse box assembly needs to be replace as the electric load detector that is built into the fuse box assembly has gone bad. Go to the junkyard and pull a fuse box assembly from a 94 or 95 and make sure it's the same transmission as yours..auto or manual
For the code 43 this is normally the oxygen sensor is bad. Get a Denso from rockauto ...don't get a Bosch as they don't work well with Hondas.
