Default 95 accord sputtering and dying when warm and in gear at idle or light acceleration???

Recently after my 95 accord lx automatic has been sputtering and sometimes dying when sitting at a stop light when in drive. If I shift into neutral before I get to a stop it seems to barely do it at all.
And a couple of times when I go to take off from the stop light it sputters and coughs and will not go/ or it dies. Or I can even floor the gas and it wont go for 5 seconds or so.
If it does die it will just restart and the same problems will happen again.
It does not do it if its cold. And sometimes does the same thing when taking a hard right turn on freeway on ramps.
No codes triggered or check egine lights etc.
Please help.

Iac, or tps? Need to fix it soon.
Thank you for any advice.

Dosen't do it at all once I am going above 10 mile per hour. Or on the freeway. It runs perfect at these times, and shifts correctly also.

Just me but I wouldn't mess with the fuel filter.

Instead, I'd start with a good tb cleaning and the IAC cleaning.

We'll assume the tune up items (cap, rotor, plugs, inspect wires, ect) are up to date.

You could have air in the cooling system. Mine is doing some of the same thing and I think that's my exact problem. I just replaced the IACV which helped my idle problem.

Edit:

Actually I may have a bad radiator cap. I suspect it because when I turn off the engine when its hot I can hear air escaping from the cap. That's not normal is it?

cap rotor and plugs just done, fuel filter was very dirty.

Problem is still there. I will check the iac, and radiator cap I guess. Problem is getting worse every day. Getting hard to start.

Did you solve this issue? I have same problem with my 99 accord. I suspect the Ignition coil. I replaced my alternator but still have issue. Please let me know!

Hey all, I'm struggling with the same issue. My 99 Accord sputters and dies accelerating from idle, and occasionally dies when shifting from park into R or D. Until recently it started and idled decently, but yesterday on a particularly humid and rainy day, it was idling very rough for a few minutes then evened out... Did anyone find the problem? I cleaned my throttle, IACV, bled the coolant system, I have a new exhaust so not a clogged cat, and I have no CEL so assuming all my sensors are working. I was going to pull off the EGR valve next and see if that's clogged, and then inspect the distributor. Any help greatly appreciated!

I bought a 92, which is a different powerplant, but i drove it 60 miles back home, and fought a condition where I had to stay in it pretty heavy and keep RPMs in it to make it home. I changed the IACV, cleaned the throttle body, found a well of oil in the sparkplug well for cylinder 2, so I replaced those gaskets around that neighborhood of the intake valves.. which it needed as they were brittle... I cleaned out the fuel injectors... did whatever I could think of, only to finally clean out the EGR neighborhood... so, those ports more so than that valve... totally blocked with carbon. On that motor, the f22a1. you have to drill out these plugs to get access to those ports... its kind of a hassle on that.. but I wanna say that on yours, you have an f23b? As I recall, that is far less of a hassle to get into and clean out. In fact, I think Eric The Car Guy has a good video on servicing that area on YouTube for your engine. On my car, after I cleaned the egr ports out, I found that I had that hunting idle condition... I replaced the o2 sensor.. no joy.. come to find out, the previous owner had the idle adjustment on the throttle body opened up wide to compensate for the plugged egr ports.. dialed it way down to an idle at about 800. No more hunting idle... sorry. I got off topic a bit.. but, you might be on the right track with the egr service. Especially if you have bled all the air out of the cooling system.
