if i go out to start it in the morning, the check engine light stays on with no fuel pump running. then after a minute or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, it kicks on and runs then it will work all day as long as it doesnt sit for hours upon hours. what is causing that? thanks guys.

 

The ECU may be bad.

 

well i meesed around with the wires, and now the cel goes off before start as if the pump runs, then i go to crank and it just spins, then the pump will turn on and it will start followed by shutting off immediately
