Default Bar Ends?

I found these bar ends on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1869856236

I was wondering if this pair is fine or if I should go with another company or brand? Any suggestions? Thanks

hrm... i dont see the benifit of that. if it is made out of real carbon, its gonna shatter. something not fiber/carbon might be better imo.

It is a metal bar end with a thin layer of carbon fiber around it for looks. Really the only thing you would need to be concerned with is the weight of the piece. the bar end helps reduce handlebar vibration, and using a lighter material may increase the amount of handlebar vibration.

Lockhart phillips makes frame sliders like those. They have a ring of carbon fiber around a plastic slider. The carbon fiber is purely for looks........

Make fookin sure they're the right weight. Or better yet, get a set that you can add/remove weight to. If you get stuck w/ a set that's too light you'll have numb hands after 2 miles @80mph.
