wuts up guys need some pointers ive got a 97 spec jdm itr all stock getting ready to boost it only 5 or 6 pounds because I know high comp motors arnt the best to boost im working with 11.1 comp.....so I was wondering do u guys think a 50/50 methanol injection kit would help me with cooling or would it be a waste because this is my daily driver......

Run E85. And boost 10-12 lbs.
keep it around 300-350 hp. U will be fine.

Check my signature. Good tune=no problem.

Meth should be used with an already safe tune. If meth is the only thing making a tune safe and it malfunctions bad things happen.

i have a stock gsr block that made 600@28psi it has made over 80 passes, and driven on the street for 4 years

the tuner is the most vital key, and the driver not being stupid thinking these will last being driven at its limits every time he drives it is the second most important

 

Its the JDM version. It has only been boosted since April 9th. I drove 5 1/2 hours one way to get a T1 tune and it was worth it. I would have made better numbers but Tony at T1 said a log style manifold and type R cams dont mix well at all so you should take note of that. I had it tuned on 91 but run 93 for a little extra safety.

On E85 you should be able to make some serious HP with no worries. If E85 was available here thats what I would have went with for sure.

i run e85 from the same station all tear round and have never had any issues at all( i dont test my fuel)

you can buy a $15 test tube from autozone and test it yourself.

if you buy the 55 gallon drum then no need to worry
