I have noticed that my drivers side inner CV joint is leaking grease. Then I noticed that the inner, large diameter, strap was gone. Am I screwed? Do I have to remove the axle to install a new strap?

I also noticed that if the strap was there it would be very "low profile". There is almost no clearance. It looks like the other straps overlap about 1/2" then are tack welded on. The dealer has the straps, but can't find a picture, neither can I.

Any help would be appreciated.
