I'm thinking of purchasing an S2000 to drive to my workplace, a clinic in East Palmdale. I read about the frequency of stolen vehicles and vandalism in the area, so I know it's not a very smart idea. But I really want an S2000. What are your thoughts on driving an S2000 to East Palmdale and leaving it parked in a public parking lot for 8 hours during the day, 5 days a week?

I think you answered your own question bud. Buy a ******* and a s2000, drive the ******* to work everyday and leave your s2k at home for weekends/after work.

 

^It's just a matter of time till someone rips your top open and steals your seats..
Which is why I now have seat locks with a hardtop that has hardtop locks.

I know this is kind of old but I am a So Cal S2K owner from the San Bernardino area. We have about 60+ S2K members in our car club and in the pass four year to my knowledge we have had zero S2Ks stolen.
