Alright, I have a 100% stock 94 ls I bought from the original owner.

After I enter the anti theft code the radio gives the beep like it should, then the antenna goes down and the radio is not responsive, any idea why? External cd player will accept the cd and eject fine but the tape player won't and the screen on the deck goes blank.

Sounds like it is dead or possibly a poor connection somewhere. Make sure the radio is getting full voltage on the power and memory wires. The cheapest piece of crap radio at walmart is still 10 times better than that radio. IMO, you should just change it.

If yours is dead and you must have an OEM radio, I still have the one from my '94 that has been in storage since '98. I would sell it for $50. PM me if you need it and I will start a proper thread w/ pics in the marketplace and reserve it for you. It has the brackets and a pocket still attached. No cd, but It sounds like your cd player is ok.

Seriously, those radios suck. Get something modern unless going for all original.

 

I plan on installing a better one I just can't afford one now and somethin is better than nothin. Is the adapter harness the same between this teg and a 93 civic? I have a shell with a pioneer deck but don't want to pull it if the harness won't work.
