205 50 15 t1r or 195 50 15 r1r
I thinking few weeks ago and still no solution. I got an eg civic with b18c4. The eg civic stock size 195 50 15, for the b18c4 is 195 55 15 (205 50 15). The first, i dont kbow what size of tyre i have to use. Other is: 205 50 15 t1r £55 195 50 15 r1r £69. Which is will be the better? Bigger cheaper street tyre or smaller expensiver street slick? Sorry for my bad english! Andrew
You'll want to use the tire size dictated by the car's chassis, not the drivetrain. So, 195/50/15's would be the size to work around.
Depending on what kind of tires you're looking at, you may want to go with the 205/50/15's for an increase in contact patch size. But, then again, you could be looking at All-Season tires versus Summer tires... which are two completely different types of tire.

Also keep in mind that with toyo r1r (maybe t1 also) but i KNOW with r1r their "205" tire acually is near a 215. They are never a correct size. Idk why but my 215 r1r's were damn near a 225
I just wanna get more grip, now i have 195 50 15 paradas. Thats why i am stuck, i dont know what will be the better. Bigger size street or same small slick. I got r1r before, that is awesome tyre, but my friends integra got t1r and he said it's superb!!! I never used t1r yet. TOYOMATT84 --> the eg vti stock size 185/65r14-->205/50r15 my one was esi what is 195/50r15 so the speedometer will show 2-3mph less if i choice the 205...
They may run wide, but the diameter will be correct for the listed size, which is what matters more here.
^ yes that will be right but if your looking for a particular width as advertised and its almost 10mm WIDER that is BS. I had to reset my suspension and recorner balance my car, not cool because of a a oversized tire.
I don't understand why you'd need to re-corner balance the car. If you raise all 4 corners the same amount, the balance should be unaffected. I raised the front of my car 1", left the rear alone, and the cross weights stayed the same.
