00 GSR Black dash reflections?
Hey guys I'm not sure if it's just me or what. But my GSR's black dash seems to be extremely reflective compared to other people with black interiors. The dash board reflects so much light onto my windshield that it seems to cause a glare blocking almost the entire center portion of my windshield (maybe a good 40% of the windshield on a mildly sunny day). Does anyone else suffer from this? And what are some plausible options besides throwing one of those mats made for dashboards? I'll be planning to tint all of my glass in a month or so, hopefully that may help?

Well then I guess this is one of the special features from the factory haha. I cleaned it today, just a wipe down of the dashboard and windshield. I think I made the problem even worse haha
I just thought about the suggestion to wipe the dash...ya not my best advice would most likely just make it even more "shiny"

I had never heard of flocking, although I know what it refers to. Seems like a good idea, although it may be difficult and expensive. As a cheaper and easier solution, maybe glue a piece of black felt over the instrument cluster (or better yet, use velcro so it's removable). That or paint it with flat black paint, making sure the paint won't damage the dash material.
Also, if you don't have them already, try polarized sunglasses. You may not have to do anything to the car.

there are lots of diy write up scooby guys make for their cars. you can buy a flocking kit that comes with all the materials for about 50 bucks. you just need some spraying equipment. i would think if you could find a local service to do it, it shouldnt cost more than maybe 100 bucks

basically it involves prepping the dash, spraying an adhesive, then spraying (or something like that) the flocking fibers to the dash, then letting it cure for a few days before reinstalling
