Default need help on ftire size, asap please

hey ht,
I just bought some track R's 16x7 40+ offset. the tires are 205/50R16. they looked good on the 2000 integra I got them off of but are horrible in my ek. my question is, what size tires would I need so they wont rub when I turn? I don't understand the whole tire size thing. I want them one size shorter and I want the tire wall line up with the rim so I don't know if that is considered stretched. right now the tire pops out more then the rim so I know that is one reason they rub and they are also a little too tall. any help would be appreciated and would love some pix too please. ill post pictures tomorrow .. I have coilovers and camber kits but I do not want to camber them in unless It is a must. I also have it dropped to where there is no space between the tire an fender

One size smaller would be 205 45 15. That would be the correct size anyways -- the 50 series is too large. Not saying that would fix all your rubbing problems but it would be a start.

Ok cool, thank you. So the middle number would be the wall size? I was thinking of getting 195/45's. I was told that would be Perfect but the guy that told me that lies alot so I didn't believe him. Would 195/45 be too small? Anyone have any pictures of 16x7 +40 offset with 195/45r16's on there ek???

195/45-16 would be too small for the car.

You do realize that this is covered in the forum FAQ, right? You know, the one with "READ BEFORE POSING" in the title...
https://honda-tech.com/forums/wheel-tire-56/9658-forum-rules-faq-read-before-posting-1188922/

What do the numbers (aaa/bb/cc) mean on a tire?

aaa = the width of the tire in millimeters.
bb = the aspect ratio. the height of the sidewall, this is a percentage of the width of the tire.
cc = the diameter of the wheel to be used.

What size tires should I get?

The proper size depends on your car, not just the wheels you are using. So if you want to ask what size you should get, let us know what kind of car you have (year, model, body style, version)!

For a CRX, del sol, del sol Si, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

13" - 175/70-13
14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
15" - 195/50-15
16" - 205/40-16, 195/45-16

For an Integra, del sol VTEC, or '97-00 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

14" - 185/65-14, 195/60-14
15" - 195/55/15, 205/50-15
16" - 205/45-16 would be the best size but 215/45-16 will work also but only if your car isnt too low and if the wheel offsets aren't too low.
17" - 205/40/17

The '96 Civic came with two different tire sizes, depending on version. For DX versions and hatchback versions, the sizes shown above for the pre-'96 Civic are usually best. For all other '96 Civics, the sizes shown above for the '97-00 Civic are usually best.
