Serpentine Belt Whines
So, I just replaced the alternator on my 99 civic ex and got a decent ammt of power steering fluid on it. Now the belt is squeaking pretty bad upon start-up, dies down about 15-20 seconds later, and picks back up USUALLY when I come to a stop while the car is on for 15-20 seconds. Not always, but more often than not. It was smoking when I first turned the car on after replacing the alt. Smoke has subsided since. Just the whine now.
My question is; Should I replace the belt? Or should I give it time to dry out? I'm almost certain it's tightened enough, though I'm not 100%, since this was my first time doing an alternator. And if I do replace the belt, will a NAPA belt suffice? Or is there a particular brand I should look into getting. Thanks!

i'd replace the belt afaik oil is NOT something you want on a rubber(think of the back of a condom wrapper lol) it eats away at it(rubber). go with an OEM Honda belt or a good year one.
