92 Accord LX auto trans help
I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX Coupe 2.2L with a junkyard trans that was installed maybe a year ago.
My problem is my car will start up fine and move fine. A few minutes after running the car loses gear and neutrals out in D4, all manual positions, and reverse (holds in Park). No warning lights come on, the D4 light doesn't flicker or anything. The trans fluid is full, the fluid is clean (no burn smell, no obvious debris).
I figured it's a pressure problem but I wouldn't know where to being. I was told 2 different things: I was told it's a Linear pressure switch (was told by a Ford Trans tech); and was told it needs a new trans (by a honda tech who doesn't do transmissions).
Also, my car hasn't been looked at by either or those techs, just described to them exactly what i'm telling you. So if anyone could please help, it be very much appreciated.
