NEED HELP!! Acura brown top zc
I just put an 87 acura integra brown top dohc 1.6l with vacuum advanced distributer in a 77 honda civic. I`m getting an error code 14, electronic air control. The computer has a wire coming out of a11 in the ecu for the electronic idle control valve, but it has been cut. I have a plug in the engine harnass for an eicv, but there is no eicv or mounting spot on the intake!
so, in short, all the wiring is there, but there is no spot on the intake to accomidate the eicv. Did any of these brown tops have an externally mounted eicv that i could be missing??

Not sure about your problem, try google? Just wanted to clarify something I see wrong every day.
A INTEGRA D16 IS NOT A ZC.
A zc is a jdm motor that is stamped zc instead of d16

Wow! Thanks for that COMPLETELY USELESS piece of information, what would I have done without you skill178. Google, I wish I thought of that...

he clearly stated it was a DOHC ZC the are a 1.6 liter enginge.
ryguy what was the solution to your issue im interested in figuring this out
This may not be the proper way to do it, but it worked. The error code 14 is gone and the car is running really well.
I basically made an alluminum bracket for the eicv that would mount to the firewall. I filed flat and lapped the side of the bracket that the eicv Oring would sit and tightened the eicv to the bracket. After that I just ran a pre-thermostat coolant line in and out and attached a vacuum line from the high side and the other from the low
Hopefully that helps anyone with a similar issue

the port closest to the tb should be routed to the intake piping, and the side closest to the intake should be vacuum.
