Need help!!!! Crossmember question! In desperate need! Help!
Rear crossmember a bent. Went down to pick and pull and grabbed a rear crossmember. Took all day! Pulled the lca. Off tie rods. And the steering column bolt. But question is ... When I replace mine is there any way to avoid removing my rack and pinion or am I going to have to pull it all out and put it back in with the new crossmember???
Sorry it's a 93 so 2nd gen? And yes it is bolted to the crossmember but what I'm asking is when I pulled the one off at pick n pull I had to disassemble the power steering box on the rack and nock the pin out and the the rack and pinion slid right out. So the question I'm getting at is there another way ? A faster simpler method I'm over looking? Or do I have to unassemble and reassemble it all in order to just change that crossmember?
