Picture of oil return line ? More info ??? Those seals don't work how you think they do. Oil will either leak past them or it won't. They are metal rings. Not rubber o-rings that have cracked/failed...

one would say its the brand of the turbo you have selected, but do you have a pic of where the leak is happening? i kind of see some oil on the hot side of the turbo. your return needs some material improvement

Yes it's leaking from the hot side and its leaking from the bottom of the downpour flange. And I know the hoses are temporary

eBay turbo is a an eBay turbo. Personally idc if you use a Garrett rebuilt turbo kit or not. Maybe the Shodan can chime in

Thats the chance you took when buying from fleabay, if an oil leak is your only failure conisder yourself half lucky.

Buy another and try again?

Or bite the bullet and buy a quality piece

Ever thought that it could be residual oil coating the downpipe from the original turbo. Once hot enough, is now burning off. Could happen. Seen it before.

Ebay turbo's are horrid. Just get a quality one, I picked up a Precision for $600.00 NIB today.

Are we sure its not further upstream from the turbo? I don't know how much smoke you're getting.... What do the exhaust ports look like?

I'm sorry but you'll learn the hard way then. You're better off leaving it alone then bombarding a good solid car with cheap crap. Just get your money back and save up. You don't have to have the car up and running within a month. Be patient, save...
