I have a 1992 hatchback civic that has a D16y7 swap. It is my first Honda and it has never given me problems till now. It died on me while driving. So I have checked google and it has led me to Honda Tech everytime. I have read the similar problems that I am facing which is no power to the fuel pump. I have spark but no power what so ever to the pump. I have checked the wires back to the main relay. I have tried to jump pin1 to pin7 or pin5 five to pin7 I can feel the main relay clicking. I have not checked the ecu because I do not know how. I have checked the 31 fuse under the hood and also the number 24 fuse under the dash and they are good. I am getting no power with a multi meter when grounding and connecting to the fuel pump wire for the main relay. I have tried my best researching any help will be appreciated.

So even resolder if I can feel it click on and off I know I sound like a idiot.

 

The main relay should click more than once.

When you turn the key from off to ONII), does the CEL remain on steady or turn off after 2 seconds?

 

It clicks one time when switch is cut on and one time when turned to off.

Click the Codes link in my signature. Are any codes recovered after jumping the service connector?

 

one thing make sure you check the ground on the thermostat housing make sure its clean and tight

 

Ok and that's the Gsomething wire ground everyone says and that is under the dizzy right

 

 

I checked and cleaned the ground wires and tryed to pull the codes but it wouldn't blink so I tryed the pins being jumped on it didn't do anything.

 

 

this happen to a buddys car, and it was the main relay.. we opened it and what do u know, the soldering was cracked. luckily he had an extra laying around
