engine spinning in opposite rotation
not my engine a b engine that i saw on youtube. a couple questions came up. how much would that cost to do. could it still rev to nine grand would vtec work still
I'm no master mechanic, and I know better than to say anything is impossible, but that just sounds fake. For it to spin backwards (and run), i would believe that the complete engine block would have to be fabricated to swap the intake/exhaust sides of the engine. Not to mention all the other finicky things that might be designed to be "directional"..such as oil pump, water pump (directional fins), thermostat, ac & power steering lines swapped.
I've never heard of it on a b series. I've heard about people doing it to either h or f series (don't remember which or why). This was sucessfully done with the old school Buick "nailhead" engines tho.

Never mind. Reverse head on h22. Still rotates the same direction. If you got an engine to spin backwards, you'd have 5 reverse gears and 1 drive cuz now you're spinning the tranny backwards too

look into this along time ago for rwd project, you'll need custom cams, starter, ignition, electric water pump and dry sump oil pump. not really worth it cause you can pick up a k24 for 600-800 bucks that spins that way already.
