Default CM400A

I acquired a cm400a and it had a Vetter windjammer on it. I decided to take off the wind jammer and now I can't seem to find the right fork covers. Everyone that has them says they are the same length, 7 1/4" measuring inside and top to bottom on the upper and lower tube supports. The measurement on mine is 6 1/4". Does anyone know if there was a different length for same year 400's (different sub models)?

what are fork covers?

do you mean fairing?

i highly doubt there are different triple clamps... more than likely the tubes were lowered at some point in the triple clamp... if you are talking about what I think you are talking about.
