i have a 95 accord ex. i would like to give it a little pep not to much. is there anything that someone can suggest not trying to go all out

Your best bang for the buck to make the car feel more sporty is to upgrade your springs and sway bars. There's no quick fix to make it faster in a straight line other than dramatically reducing the weight.

If you want more sound, you can remove the stock resonator connected to the air intake box and swap the OE paper filter for a K&N replacement. But keep in mind there might be rules dictating what you can and can't do depending on what state you're from.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, if you have an automatic transmission, swapping that to a manual trans will drastically improve the driving experience of the car.
