Took my 1990 Honda Accord LX to tire place to get an alignment done, the service tech told me he could not do the alighment because my brakes were seized.

I am not sure if that is some thing true or not. My brakes do not feel like they are seized.

The only issue I am having with the car at this time is that when i am driving down the freeway the car tends to shake a little bit.

if anyone can help me with figuring out why the car shakes and how to check for brake seizing it would help alot.

 

That's absurd. Just go somewhere else. You don't want that idiot working on your car.

Do the alignment first...but find a place that will give you a 1 year warranty or so on the alignment. See if the car stops shaking. If it doesn't, you can further isolate and after fixing the problem, get another alignment for free.

 

vibration at a steady speed is likely wheel balance, bad tires, bent wheel, etc. A seized caliper would cause hard pull while braking or sometimes a constant pull and hot brake smell.

 

If this only happens when you press the brake pedal, you probably have warped brake rotors and your rotors need to be machined or replaced. If the shake happens continually on the freeway, this usually indicates wheels out of balance. Old tires that are developing problems with inner linings separating may also cause some shaking.
