So last night I was doing a 2nd gear pull. Popped off the rev limiter for all of a split second and watched my speedo needle fall flat. The rpm needle still works fine. Suggestions?

 

you need a new vehicle speed sensor. easy fix.

 

Yeah either the plug popped off the VSS, or the VSS died. There could also be a wiring issue elsewhere, but those are more likely, especially if you guys were working back there.

Didn't you put a new one on recently?

 

yup, guess it fail. I'll go to the junkyard and snag one today.
