I changed my mind of buying a B18CR (just too much money) where I can just invest in a turbo B16A2 and put out alot more. I want to go faster cheaper and still be on a safe side with detonation.

I am gonna do B16A2 swap for $2600 CND rather then $6000 CND for B18CR

What do I need to do before I buy turbo to be on a safe side????


What Turbo do I buy to run around 8 - 10psi at start and eventually get to at least 20-25 psi of boost????

can someone help me please I am just learning about turbo's I was in N/A section for a while now. reading and reading and reading and learning but I am leaning towards turbo now.

 

Start doin searches on here theres plenty of info, as far as a turbo thats gonna work well at both 8-10 psi and 20-23 psi, it doesn't exist. And what exactly is a b18cr? I'm assuming your talking about a type r which is c5, but anyways if this is the case you might wanna consider a gsr (b18c5) or you might even be better off using an ls (b18b1) if your goin turbo right of the bat, sticking with the b18 instead of a b16 will give you way more torque in the long run.

 

so you think I should do an LS swap rather then B16

But I can always swap an LS bottom end later on if I wanted to. and have B18B bottom end and B16A2 top end.

B18CR = B18C Spec R (JDM ITR MOTOR)

B18C1 = GSR motor

personally i would go b16. then go turbo. then build up a b18b bottom end and go ls/vtec turbo.

 

what kind of turbo is good to run 20- 25 psi max and hp level goal is about 450 - 500. This is probably a 2 year or maybe even 1 year goal.

What turbo is good for my setup and what should a turbo kit (complete) come with. I want with IC.
