Default 1997 accord Transmission questions??????

OK i bought a 97 accord in march and for some reason already the trans took a ****. now i have 3 options
1. Pay $1500+ to have it rebuild which comes with a warranty for a year

2. Do the auto to manual which would cost me around $500

3. Find another auto transmission and put that in

I am leaning more towards option 3 because the car nis for my wife and she hated to drive stick and we don't feel like dumping $1500 into a car that we may not have long or possibly something else break. Now i understand all H22/23 transmissions mount up but may not run right due to different shift points. I also understand all f series transmissions will bolt up but some have different shift points as well.

Jdm-engine depot has a jdm f22 automatic trans for $300 now will the question i have is will this transmission bolt in and run perfectly fine without any modifications to the tcu/ecu i understand it may have different shift points if it does what will i have to change to get them to work flawlessly thanks guys

The transmission is a 'dumb' device. Shift points are controlled by the TCU.

There will not be any changes to the shift points. The only thing that will most likely be different is that you will receive a transmission from an Odyssey(MPJA), which will have a lower final drive so your rpms will be a bit higher at cruising speed.

Transfer all the brackets from your old transmission to the replacement unit as most likely there will be differences. At the very least reuse your Accords kickdown cable and brackets. The Odyssey uses slightly different cable and cable holder.
