Default ignition lock issue

Hey,

So I've been trying to find info on a problem I'm having with my 91 Dx Hatch.

When I put it into park, it occasionally (its gotten worse lately) wont register that I've put it into park to unlock the ignition key cylinder. Local dealership told me that its the whole ignition lock system and something to do with 'pins in the cylinder' being bent. They wanted over $200 for parts and labor so I figured I'd ask around before shelling out that kind of money since they didn't seem to believe what I was telling them the problem is.

What happens is like I said, occasionally more often than not now it wont register when I put it into park. If I leave it alone it sometimes takes 10 minutes to register and click unlocked. Sometimes if I wiggle the shift lever for a few minutes it clicks, but then I have to click it again and hold the shifter with one hand, while pulling the key out with the other. More recently though I've found that if I shift into park, then smack the shift lever it will click and stay clicked so I can get the key out...

Doesn't sound like the cylinder or the ignition lock system, and the solenoid under the dash is clicking so I don't think its that.

Is there another solenoid, or just a button that tells the system its in park that is going out/almost dead, and if so is it expensive/easy to do myself with little mechanical know how and few tools?

Another issue I've been having lately is with my wipers. I had the linkage replaced last year because the bearing things on the ends of the linkage were going out and the arms would swing to far (almost broke my driver window out a few times..) Now that that is fixed, the wipers have started to not wipe so well, I spoke to the local dealership and they said its my wiper transmission bearings not applying enough pressure to the wipers making it wipe good, but that doesn't make sense to me because I thought that all that the transmission was is the peg that the arm attaches to that rotates.. If there's not enough pressure on the blade its the arms themselves going out right?

Thanks...

OK, so I've been researching all over the place, and have come to the conclusion that its the Shift Position Console Switch which apparently is a slider switch that indicates the shifter is in park, and can get worn out at which time the system starts having issues knowing when the car is in park...

My problem is on here:

Which # is it? or is that part even available anymore, or is it part of a larger assembly I have to buy?
