Civic Si EPS malfunction
Hey guys im new and i need real help so please help me.
I bought a civic 2006 Si and i love the car but since i've change my clutch its being a nightmare. The Car lost the epc functions and i feel like a truck driver...
And unfurtunatly i dont have a HDS so i cant see wtf is up with the car.
But i have another scanner and it gave me this code
51-07 faulty torque sensor
However the eps works sometimes and in certain ways like if you have drove for an hour and you turn the car off and then back on Eps Works... strange i know.
And if its hot outside after 15 minutes driving turn car off and back on Eps works again.
Cloudly or raining No Eps
.
The deal is i have tried with another pinion and still not working. Eps module works because i have tried it in another car and it did work perfectly.
Please guys i need you. Cheers

Either your rack has failed or you damaged the wiring when you did the clutch. If this started immediately after the clutch replacement, I would check all of the connections and wires very well. Look for wires partly pulled out of the connector or soft set connectors. A faulty EPS unit could cause that code also, but is unlikely.

I just did my clutch and upon completion and startup I had an immediate EPS light and power assist failure. I did put the steering linkage together off kilter so the top of my steering wheel is at 9 O'clock rather than noon. I didn't mess with the steering end links so alignment is intact. It drives straight and true, just without power assist and the steering wheel is oriented in such a way I can't see the tach and my audio buttons are out of reach. I know I gotta drop the subframe again and look at wiring as well as break the linkage and re-orient the splines so the wheel corresponds with the drive wheels' orientation. I know this is a crusty old thread and only got one response to begin with, but figured it was worth an elaboration. I don't know if OP's issue involved ABS lights on the dash, my problem does NOT include that, just the steering light on the dash for me. Not sure if his ABS speed sensor issue would explain that for me...

check resistance on your torque sensor between pins 1 & 2 you should have between 12-15ohms, i had the same issue, follow the pink and Blue/Red cables from the connector they might have been damaged when you did your clutch i found my pink cable was cut located right underneath the exhaust manifold area. Just fixed the wire and my eps was restored even cleared up my passenger side Airbag open as well.
PLEASE give us a write up....How did you find it was the ABS sensor?
