Hey fellow honda peeps need a little help here. I have changed both ball joints upper and lower with moog parts, also replaced the inner and outter tie rods moog also, but car still pops when sitting still and turn the steering wheel. ANY help is appreciated thanks

Sounds kind of like a broken spring settling but I don't think that's it.

Change that boot for your inner tie rod. Crap gets in there and will tear the tie rod up quick.

 

Yeah i got a brand new boot and clamps to fix that, was hoping to fix my problem before i secure everything. Right now as loud as the pop is i dont drive it

 

OK...well sence this video i have replaced the strut mount and all the bushing along with a brand new rack n pinion also noticed my sleeve for springs was missing some orings to center it, gots all new orings for that also still pops... any help is nice!

 

Have a friend sit inside and turn the steering wheel back and forth to cause the popping sound while you crawl around outside. You should be able to pin point (or at least get close) the problem part by feel (I would imagine there is a somewhat stiff vibration everytime it pops?).

Are you sure you torqued ALL the ball joints and tie rods down?

 

Yeah its some what of a nudge on the wheel when it pops, i made sure i torqued all the ball joints and tie rods that i did (inner tie rods came on the rack n pinion when replaced).

on another note ill try and get a buddy over tomorrow to have em turn the wheel. Thanks for the advice ill let you know tomorrow what i come up with.

 

Ok well after a lil more diagnosis i found out popping was coming from my strut, as i assumed a new strut fixed all my popping and clicking sounds in the video i appreciate each and everyone of you that commented!
