Hi everone..i've a b18c4 swapped in my civic ek.i have noticed the battery voltage fluctuates when i activate hazard or flasher.Even at idle,you can hear rev fluctuates according to the rhythm of the flasher.I also check my fuel pump,it fluctuates when i use flasher.Definitely,its not normal,so i would like to know what can cause this.

My battery voltage is giving 12.4V when engine off and at idle it gives 14.3V.

 

anyone experienced that?

 

when the car is running it goes of the alt NOT the battery. sound like a bad alternator to me. do you know if/when it was last repalaced ?

 

Unfortunately i don't have the record if it had been replaced or not...what would you suggest me to do,try another alternator or look for some bad wiring connection in the car?

 

is you'r battery light on when you this happens ? replacing the alt is a PITA but if you're up for it id say do that and then see if it still does it but it sounds likr the alt to me.

 

no the light is off..ok,i'll try another and get back for results..also,when i close or open the window the rpm drop at idle and then when i stop pressing the switch it turns back normal.

 

If you have a spare known good batt lying around i'd say try that FIRST seeing as it takes maybe 3mins to swap both in and out. but that does sound like the alt going to me
