Default Give this CV Boot the Boot!

I couldn't get the spindle nut loose, so I went the save time route and bought a Universal CV Boot. It takes an hour for the adhesive to dry before even you even start to put it on. They are also prone to split on either of two seams running the entire lenght of the boot. Either way you are packing grease, so crack that nut loose and put on the OEM CV Boot.

Did you unstake the axle nut?

I have a 3/4in breaker bar w/ a 36in cheater pipe for
just such an application. Shoot some PBBlaster up under
the staked portion of the nut and let it sit.

You can also apply your floor jack to the end of the cheater
bar.

To prevent slippage of the 32mm socket off the axle nut, you can
wrap the nut w/ a strip of parafilm or equiv.

The nut always comes loose easy for me. Sometimes the axle gets stuck in the hub and I have to wail on it a little with a sledge. Carefully wail...
