Default From an EM1 to a FA5

After years of driving my 2007 Civic Si around stock, I've decided to change it up a little bit. My previous car was a 1999 Si that i sold when my son was born. This won't be anything drastic, just making the car more fun to drive as well as better to look at. Here's how the car has looked for the past 3 years.

Just a stock Civic like we've all seen. I picked up an eibach prokit

Then found some wheels, they're MR BBS 17x8+38.

Everything installed

I'm on the look out for either HFP or mugen struts to replace the oem. I then moved my attention inside to the CD player. After driving my wife's car with Bluetooth I had to have it. So after talking with crutchfield for awhile I picked up this

I know most people upgrade to a double din in 8ths, but I didn't have the need to watch DVDs or for a GPS. So justifying an extra $250 for the same capabilities was hard to do. I wanted to try something different and instead of using the cd slot piece that comes with single dins I was gonna use a oem Honda block off.

It fit good but was a little too big, so I had to do some trimming.

I like the way it looks, this car has enough cubby spaces so another one wasn't needed in the dash. I can't tell you how my I love not having to take my phone out of my pocket to make calls or listen to music. I don't know how I got by before

I have a headlight retrofit in the works as well as a few other things.

Good start man, would look better with a lower drop. How much did you pick up the BBS' for, if you don't mind me asking...

Thanks, as far as going lower it's unlikely, this is low enough for stock struts. I paid 450 for the rims shipped to my door.

The ride is very similar to stock without the body roll. They offer a nice drop for a daily.

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of buying a new home so funds aren't great for modding right now but I'm doing what I can. I just ordered some koni shocks and will be upgrading the brakes to tsx fronts soon too.

Congrats though, it was down to black and gray when I got this. Plans for it or keeping it stock? I remember your hatch build, very nice

I've got a few updates coming soon, until then here's some pics from today's snow.

Somehow despite how nasty my car looked, my wheels stayed looking perfect.

After multiple issues with the parts I bought from the retrofit source for my headlight retrofit I finally got it completed. The next time I'm out at night I'll get some good pics of them. Despite the frustration they are a great upgrade to have.
