Default 5 speed trans

I have a 1995 Accord F22b1 with a 5 speed. I was looking under it and its covered in oil (Gear oil?) it flows down from the top of the trans. My best guess is this nipple I found with no hose connected(see picture). I have no idea what this nipple is for and did not see any hoses around it or near by.

It's a breather. Shouldn't have fluid coming out of it unless the Trans is somehow overheating???? Or it was over filled somehow our your jumping your car.

Ok thats what I thought I see oil down in it. The car has not been jumped and I myself have never touched the fluid. I'll check the oil level tomorrow.

That nipple is supposed to have a rubber cap on it. You should get one when you get a chance.

I will do that. Since it has not had one would that let the oil blow out?

It should not be completely sealed. If you put a solid cap on it, it will usually pop off as the trans heats up. Probably why it's not there now. It should have a rubber breather type cap. You could get a solid cap and cut a slice in the side of it to allow it to breathe.

Or buy a new OEM breather cap. Part number 21396-PX5-000 - Cap, Breather

If the oil is coming from the top of the engine. It could be your distributor seal or valve cover gasket.
