Hi Everyone. New member here. I tried the search function but it doesn't seem to working right now so I thought I'd start a new thread.

The other day while visiting Mom, I noticed her temp gauge never went above 1/4. Today I hooked up my Ultra Gauge and read 182F max (83.3C). Just want to know what the temp should be. I wonder if she has a soft-fail t-stat. MPG seems okay at 24mpg combined. Any feedback would be appreciated.

EDIT: 1997 Honda Accord EX, 2.2 4 cyl, auto

 

It's going to be somewhere between 180 and 190
