My car has been giving me trouble for a few weeks now. It usually starts just fine and sometimes can drive for about 20 minutes (shorter lately) then stalls out. The CEL comes on and the car will not start again until that CEL goes out. Then it will get me a short distance and stall AGAIN. I've been stranded on the road several times for long periods and my head is about to explode. So far I have replaced the Main relay, coil and fuel filter. I am a single mom with 2 sons and I can't afford to spend any more $ on unnecessary parts. I am doing all the repairs myself with the help of this forum and other websites. (Don't cringe, I'm pretty handy with a tool) What would my next logical step be? At first I was thinking fuel, now Im thinking spark....Any of you fellas have a suggestion??

 

The key is probably going to be that check engine code. You need to retrieve it.

 

I checked it. Im getting one long and 5 short. I assume thats 15. Which is the "Ignition Output Signal"
