its bolts onto the gsr with no probs unless you dont have a shorter cat. converter to make up for the collectors length. The header sits about half an inch away from the oil pan, which sorta adds extra heat to the oil, but its not really a problem.

what would you recommend then? i was considering the JDM DC 4-1 but knowing that the ground clearance is soo bad...what would give equal gains?

the stock JDM ITR header or the TODA header will give adequate clearance and good gains...TODA having better gains.

i've been debating on getting an oem itr header myself, but with that you'd have to get an aftermarket cat/test pipe and/or shorten the b-pipe on your exhust. the comptech header for the gsr makes a little more power, so thats also something to consider. plus its a straight bolt on. i like the oem itr header because you can still use a heatshield. but the comptech is less of a hassle to put on. so its up to you i guess.

I have the JDM DC 4-1 Header on my GS-R. Basically I had my stock cat modified with a 2.5" flange and donut for the header.. also I had to have my b-pipe shortened.. it's kind of a pain, but after it's all said and done, it's a nice mod.. Clearance isn't that big of an issue to me since I have Eibach Pro-Kits on so my car isn't that low to begin with... The only reason I went with the DC was the price. I paid $200 new for it off a member of this board. Good luck!
