Please help.. TPS issues no trans issues
I wanted to see if swapping out my TPS would change the way my 2002 Accord shifts. I have been having stage down shifts on a rolling stop. Well i just swapped in a new TPS and have a CEL on for low voltage to TPS and the car now slams in to gear and 4th gear is GONE!
This is madness. Its like the subtle issue i had is now 1000 times WORSE! And no matter what i do i cant adjust the TPS to the right voltage. I put the old on back in and the light turns off but the transmission is still ****. These is no way my tranny blew from just swapping out a TPS.
Any advice and help please.

I took everything apart and returned the new tps for a NEW one, put it all back, adjusted everything, reset the ECU.
Not only did this fix what happened the firs time around IT FIXED MY ORIGINAL TRANNY ISSUES! The hard down shift, up shift and hard down shift on stops, ALL GONE. And here i thought for sure this tranny was toast. Not this 90K car drives like 50K. Awesome.
