Default 07 SI foglights

I did this once to a 06 SI my wife had but never had this much trouble.

Any advice would help.

My brother in laws friend has come back from the marines and he wants ebay fogs installed on his 07 si 2 dr. I took it all apart and notice the ebay foglights brackets are wayyy off. There is physically no way they will fit without looking like trash. I do remember having some issues when i did this to my wifes 06 2dr si but it wasn't this bad.

Seems as if the brackets line up with none of the holes and the lights themselves are too small and would leave big gaps between the lights and the bumper (after cuttin out the holes)

So what i am curious about is, do any of you recall having major fitment issues with ebay fogs on your 8th gen? I KNOW that OEM original fog light kit is the way to go but they will not spend the money. If it was my car i would buy oem, but this is NOT my car and I am only doing this for extra cash. If anyone has any ideas or have had similar problems let me know

I never had issues with mine, I guess double check again your work, but in regards to the fogs, you should have your brother in law check into lexan glass fogs people do, for some reason the 8th gen oem or ebay fogs tend to crack easy, should look into that

the problem is the fact the brackets are "close" but there is just no way they will fit without a cutting wheel, a grinder, and some bending via me!

wiring harness impressed me it is basically just like a oem harness. the lights looked ok, but the brackets are trash.

i was going to but decided not to. I was doing this as a favor and to make a quick 150 but i told them to get a oem honda brand fog kit and i will gladly install it!

See, my wife has a 06 civic si 2 dr W/navi ( personally hated the flimsy shifter assembly, and the garbage 6spd trans that has nothing but problems at 30k miles, anyways) and we installed ebay fogs on her car and it was easy as cake, i did have to swap the brackets from left to right vice versa because the chinese company put them on backwards which i figured out instantly. They went in fine, no complaints.

From what honda has told me the 07 has to have the whole turn sinal/headlight switch stalk swapped out for a foglight version, which i am unsure of, I was just gonna hide the VSA/VSM switch behind the panel and put the 06 style foglight switch in place of it... Dunno how this is gonna work out but i will update.
