If so how did it work out for u? Thanx Guys. I know Im a girl but u better be nice with your comments. Im not an idiot when it comes to cars ;-)

What does being a girl have to do with anything? I hate when women mention this like it pre-qualifies them or something.

Find a bare block and build it for boost. Inexpensive.

"some guys" dont think/look at girls the same when it comes to car talk...thats all i meant. but also my car is already boosted. new head and new everything else except the block....now my rings are shot at the ***** smoking. i fugured since a rebuild would be time consuming and so indepth-id rather just get a low mileage block for now...i know a Y7 would be good but i have a Z6 i could put in but everything ive read is 50/50 on the outcome. just wanted a few more thoughts on this idea

What part of "buy a spare block and build for boost" is tripping you up? And the only "low mileage" engine you're going to find is from Japan. Contact HMotors.

Also don't see where you're getting 50/50 from. Y8 head and a Z6 block. Seen TOO many threads on it. If done correctly there should be no problem. But swapping in an OBD1 block in place of a Y8 is just asking for problems if you cut corners or have no clue what you're doing.

the only thing that makes the z6 better is the crank and it will fit in your y8 block.... to make a z6 fit u have to swap the oil pan, oil pick up, oil pan and oil pump to swap into a ek unless your running a obd1 ecu and dont plan on using a obd2 ecu to pass emissions. if you will. you will have to swap what i noted above... if its smoking are you sure the turbo isnt shot/. because it will smoke like crazy when the turbo seals go... compression test to figure out if the rings are bad or the turbo
